One of the best bass lines in pop music. :-)
Jeff Rogers (host) 8:37:32 PM
There is is!
Bama Dan 8:39:08 PM
We can debate pop versus prog all night, but in 1970, The Question was played on AM Radio!
Jeff Rogers (host) 8:42:51 PM
Yep! I remember! Then it transitioned to almost exclusively FM...due to AM's growing obsession with commercial Pop.
Bama Dan 8:43:24 PM
Exactly right, Jeff.
Bama Dan 8:45:15 PM
But in the early 70s, AM Radio carried all kinds of stuff: Moody Blues, Zappa, Sabbath, Floyd...
Jeff Rogers (host) 8:49:59 PM
Yeah...the golden days of radio and 'modern' music
Jeff Rogers (host) 8:53:48 PM
Back then the FCC wasn't such a bogey man!
Bama Dan 8:54:48 PM
I hope I'm not waxing nostalgic here. I recognize those days, but I love the days that have taken place since then...like Yo La Tengo's Summer Sun. Great music! And even today...fantastic artists like Little Simz and Khruangbin. Good times then...good times now. ❤️
Jeff Rogers (host) 8:59:34 PM
Agree'd...the censorship thing has gotten a little ridiculous since the Raygun and TIpper days!!
Bama Dan 8:59:54 PM
Haha! The Mothers of Prevention!
