![]() | Wipers Window Shop for Love Is This Real? Zenorecords 1980 Debut LP from Greg Sage and company. Despite the band's sound, Greg Sage did not consider Wipers to be a punk rock band. From a 2020 Rolling Stone interview: “We were not considered punk because we didn’t try to be. I always liked wearing worn-out flannel; it was my Oregon fashion statement, I guess. I was a rebellious kid my whole life and would always do the exact opposite of what people said I must do to fit in.” This Pacific Northwest band was a major influence on Kurt Cobain. |

In a May 2014 Razorcake interview, Black Flag bassist Kira Roessler criticized select lyrics from the album and artwork: "I didn't really recognize that they might have interesting ideas about women and that me being in the band was controversial. I didn't think that way until I saw the cover of Slip It In and I kind of realized, for one thing, they certainly didn't glorify women. That cover does not glorify women." |

This LP was released on Columbia Records after the band was dropped by Elektra following 1970's Fun House. Supposedly, Columbia wanted a radio-accessible ballad from the band, with "I Need Somebody" fulfilling that request. |

| 45 Grave Take 9 Autopsy Enigma 1987 Compilation collecting unreleased songs and early recordings from the 80s Los Angeles Goth-punk band. 45 Grave is best known for their song "Partytime" which was included on the soundtrack for the 1985 horror-comedy cult classic The Return of the Living Dead. The soundtrack also featured The Damned, The Cramps, T.S.O.L, and others. |
