Alex Jeffries 3:39:57 PM
Hey Hannah, have you revealed your #1 track of the year anywhere yet?
Alex Jeffries 3:41:06 PM
(Or album)
Hannah (host) 3:42:30 PM
Mine personally?
Alex Jeffries 3:42:37 PM
Yeah
Hannah (host) 3:43:38 PM
No, I was thinking about that on my to work. Typically unless someone makes me do it, I don't compile a personal list. I get caught up in so many other duties that goes to bottom of the list.
Alex Jeffries 3:46:29 PM
Well, I for one would be curious to know what topped your list this year! Hard to keep track of what came out when sometimes.
Hannah (host) 3:55:55 PM
Well for me personally my top two played artists are Hot Snakes and Taylor Swift (doesn't get more polar than that, methinks) but that wasn't reflective of music that came out this year. I'd have to give it more thought if it was purely 2023.
Alex Jeffries 4:00:26 PM
😂 That just made me remember PLOSIVS came out last year not this year. But hey, that’s range and what KXCI is all about!
Terry Mason 4:18:50 PM
Iris DeMent my favorite album ofthe year
Alex Jeffries 4:30:08 PM
Oh wow, that’s an interesting (slightly depressing) factoid. Thanks for turning me on to Hot Snakes and all associated acts, Hannah, and Plenty for All is my personal fave so🤘
Hannah (host) 4:30:38 PM
@Alex you didn't know he died this year?
Alex Jeffries 4:31:20 PM
Oh, no, sorry, I meant in regards to Hot Snakes being the last live act to play in studio before the pandemic hit; that part.
Hannah (host) 4:31:43 PM
Ah, gotcha. Just got the link up to session here.
Alex Jeffries 4:32:27 PM
Excellent, too many good ones lost this year. 🖤
Alex Jeffries 4:35:37 PM
(Granted, no loss is easy any year, especially those gone too soon but always nice to hear tributes.)
Hannah (host) 4:36:14 PM
