Hosted by Michelle K. since March 2001, the Melody Fair show airs from Los Angeles on KXLU, 88.9 FM, streaming on www.kxlu.com and on the KXLU app.
Shows now take place weekly MONDAYS from 9 - 11 PM PST.
The show airs for 2 hours every week and features indie music from around the world that’s not world music. Genres played include: Art Rock, Bollywood, Chicha, Folk, Garage, Glam, J-Pop, K-Pop, Krautrock, Prog, Pow Wow Dub Step, Psychedelic, Shoegaze, Tropicália, Yé-yé, and so much more.
You’ll hear from French, Brazilian, Scandinavian, German, Italian, UK artists and beyond! I don’t forget the grand ole USA, but the emphasis is on the international.
