Tonight, I'm playing the entirety of Annasthesia by Nathan Johnson and The Cinematic Underground. Nathan Johnson is a composer known for working on several Rian Johnson films including Brick, Looper, and most recently Knives Out. Heβs also an accomplished director and producer. Annasthesia is a concept narrative album about love, escape, and risk and the choice you make between numbing yourself or engaging with life.
One thing I love about hosting Behind the Scenes is finding out what my favorite film and TV composers are doing outside of the industry. Discovering music and albums like this are what I love about hosting this show. I hope you enjoy it!
