Thanks as always for the privilege of your time as listener, contributors and readers, as in checking out this site with the playlists I have diligently reported to Spinitron ensuring the professionals who deliver the product receive due compensation. Without music the world would be a sad, hellish place. Music is medicine. It is emotional, it is a mood enhancer, it is both extremely person and also social. No better gathering of humans to enjoy a show.

KZMU has a policy that if a DJ seeks to serve his, her, their community in an elected office then they must step aside during this time. You, my listeners, are the first group that I am announcing that I, an Immigrant, The Immigrant on the local radio waves for 25 years wants to serve the people of Grand County. I hope to deliver as quality a commissioner as I have been a DJ all these years.

Also a massive thanks to Jeff Flanders who gave me the training and confidence to be better, Thanks to 20 plus years hosting This Week In Moab I am very well versed in all matters local from the arts, environment, planning and indeed politics having interviewed dozens of candidates, So in that regard I will be back, as a guest, a candidate put most importantly in service to the best people, in the best city, in the soon to be better county!

Well friends, it's been a great run but because of station protocols I must step aside from my position as the Immigrant on the airwaves of KZMU. This is I seek to serve Grand County at a level that the station requires, after declaring candidacy, the DJ to forgo their position. This is truly the hardest part of making the decision to run for elected office. Disclaimer, the Immigrant did become a US citizen on July 31st 2013 so I wish to serve and make our county a better place. My pledge is to "Do It For A Local". After the election I do have an opportunity to return, so perhaps there will be further chapters.

I will miss you all and thanks, sincerely, for the privilege of your time these last 24 years....
