Growing up in Seattle, Washington, Laelah's family was very musically inclined with every family member playing unique instruments. Her father is from Nigeria and throughout his life and move to America, he collected vinyl records as a hobby. This was Laelah's first real introduction to music. "What is the number one topic talked about in music?" Her father asked. "Love" was her response. From that point forward, Laelah's father taught her the simple lesson of music as an experience of life. Laelah Ndifon first started out in radio as a freshman at Washington State University at KUGR. She joined KZUU in 2018 with her co-host DJ Shay on "Two Short Gurls." Ten for Ten Radio is her first solo DJ-show.
