At some point during the show we're going to hear "Long Island", perhaps my favorite track by the band. I love the sound of the song but I also find myself relating to some of the lyrics, specifically:

MONTE is a Brooklyn-based power rock trio that was formed by front-woman and guitarist, Caitlin Montclare. She teamed up with drummer, drum builder and engineer, Ismael Baiz early in 2018. Meghan Rose joined the band a year later adding harmonies and melodic bass-lines. Blending rock, punk, and pop, MONTE delivers a signature sound that is original, surprising, and relatable. MONTE's in-your-face lyrics and shredding guitar riffs are cleverly balanced by musical harmonies and catchy hooks.

Welcome to A Merry MONTE Christmas. We love the Holiday season, and thought that we would share some of our favorite holiday tunes with you. We recorded this five song EP in our drummer and creator of Maelo Drums' (Ismael Baiz) studio with his record company Latin Experimental Records.

She’s been a vocalist on some of the biggest-selling rock albums of all time, including Meat Loaf’s Bat Out of Hell, has been making music ever since—and will be a guest on the December 6 broadcast of The Rodent Hour with host Matt Attack in advance of her December 21 appearance at NYC’s Cutting Room.

Foley released her fifth solo album, Fighting Words, in August 2021. The album has garnered some of the best notices of her career, with accolades from music sites such as Classic Rock Magazine and Songfacts. In addition to Foley’s extensive musical discography, she enjoyed a dual career as an actress throughout the 1980s-90s, including roles in Hair, Tootsie, Fatal Attraction, Married to the Mob and Cocktail, along with TV roles on Night Court, Ghostwriter, and Law & Order.

Ellen Foley will perform at The Cutting Room on Tuesday, December 21 with her band The Worried Men. Doors will open at 6:00 PM; show at 7:00 PM. Fighting Words is available now on CD and download, with autographed copies of the CD for sale at Bandcamp.

Mary Shelley started as an authentic ‘70s punk revival but has quickly progressed to incorporate elements of dance/disco beats, shoegaze and hip-hop, while under the guise of that classic messy three-piece punk sound. Originally a two piece with college buddies Jackson Dockery (guitar + vocals) and Charlie Hull (drums), after meeting Sam Pinson (bass + vocals) the group turned trio and quickly began gigging at any venue that would have them. Cut short after only a few months of playing when the pandemic hit, they filled their time in the rehearsal room, writing new material and developing their sound.

Named for the author of Frankenstein, Mary Shelley means to look deeper into what you see. To not miss the human being inside the monster.

Mary Shelley is a highly collaborative group that isn’t afraid to push genre aside in the name of following their creative impulse. Don’t be surprised when their next song sounds nothing like their last.
