The Rodent Hour is an homage to the friends that I made during my misspent youth, those lifelong friends who joined me on those weekend nights so many years ago and whose eclectic tastes still influence the selection of artists and music that is featured on the show.
When not dealing with the restrictions of Covid-19 The Rodent Hour features interviews with independent musicians along with a curated playlist of music from Brooklyn and beyond the borough. I've conducted interviews with over 240 unique artists from places such as Detroit (MI), Durham (NC), Nashville (TN), Scranton (PA), Philadelphia (PA), Atlanta (GA), Denver (CO), Petersburg (IN), Portland (OR), London (UK), Pamplona (ES), Toronto (ON), Halifax (NS), Stockholm (SE), Dublin, (IE), Glasgow (SCT), Perth (AU) and, of course, New York City.
Nuclear Family Fantasy
Nuclear Family Fantasy's music is an exploration into the resulting impact of being raised with the illusion that the nuclear family is still the ideal. Their songs convey the struggles with addiction, frustration, and heartbreak that sometimes result from trying to survive in a world that still wants us to believe in the attainability of the American Dream.

Records announces the new album by The Cutthroat Brothers and Mike Watt The trio's Record Store Day release was such a hit that the Brothers and Watt are back with an album of all new material. Titled ‘Devil in Berlin’, the album will be available as vinyl LP, CD and digital download on December 3rd. The bawdy and bruising title track "Devil In Berlin" shakes and swings like Berlin based Burlesque troupe, the Velvet Creepers, featured on the artwork and video and seen performing with The Cutthroat Brothers on tour. |
