What is the heaviest thing in the world? Out of all the things on the planet Earth, which one weighs more than all the others? Some nerds might tell you that it's the Great Wall of China at about 116 billion pounds, but those idiots have never heard heavy psych! Two hours of hard rocking, riffing, electrified, doomish atmosphered psychedelic music from the late sixties and early seventies before psych music fell away from the public ear and when sister genres hard rock and progressive rock took over.

Bubble Puppy:

Hailing from San Antonio, Texas, founding members Rod Prince and Roy Cox left their previous band The Bad Seeds and were looking to create a new rock group that would feature dual lead guitars. The band's name came from "Centrifugal Bumble-puppy" which was a game described in Aldous Huxley's book Brave New World. They had a hit with Hot Smoke And Sasafrass, with Lonely as the B side, going to number 14 on the charts. After signing new manager, the actually named Nick St. Nicholas, bassist of Steppenwolf, they renamed themselves to Demian, after the Herman Hesse novel, for both legal reasons and so people would stop thinking they recorded bubblegum music. They had recorded one album under each name before disbanding. The band would reunite for some performances in 1984 and even record an album of new material in 1987, their second with the Bubble Puppy name.
