Steven Daggett began as a WORT program engineer for Bill Malone and "Back to the Country" in 2005. He and his partner, Marianne, began as substitute hosts for the show on April 4, 2007. Since July, 2020 they have been hosting BTTC the first Wednesday of every month, with an occasional 5th Wednesday show. They bring an eclectic variety of Classic, Alternative, and Off the Grid Country and American Roots Music, usually on a theme.

If you’re like us, you may be suffering from a lack of freedom and adventure. The wide open spaces are calling! Come along, as we explore a variety of music of the great American west. We'll hit a few honky tonks, hang out with singing cowboys, howl with the coyotes, and generally just explore the rhythms, melodies and lyrics of the western US from the Great Plains to the Pacific coast.
