Summer is winding down. The stores are stocked with back to school and fall clothing, so we'll be playing songs around a theme of "Dress for Success or to Impress or Regress!" We have songs about shoes, jeans, dresses, rings, hats, and more, but we'll mainly be having some fun with an upbeat collection of songs in a wide variety of musical styles, spanning over 100 years.

Welcome to our New Year 2023 edition of Back to the Country. Today we will play variety of music from the 1920s into the 21st Century. You will hear classic country standards along with tributes and interpretations by more modern musicians. We also will feature some popular songs of the Roaring Twenties, along with music of the Hawaiian Islands.

Our theme this week was inspired by the 2022 exhibit "Western Edge, The Roots and Reverberations of Los Angeles Country Rock" currently on display at the Country Music Hall of Fame & Museum in Nashville.

We are less than a week away from Highly Contentious Elections In Wisconsin and Around the Country, it seems things have not changed much since 2 years ago when we were in the midst of a pandemic with an extremely divisive Presidential election.

Today, we'll share some highlights from our 2020 election show, with plenty of songs from decades past as well as new material to keep your spirits up! We hope you enjoy the show. We also hope the music inspires you to vote for your favorite candidates, on or before Nov. 8!
