This Labor Day we celebrate both the joys and struggles of unemployment, jobs that barely make ends meet and shall we say... less traditional sources of income.

The chart is very enlightening! I am unemployed now for the first time since I was 13 years old so this show hits me!
Casey (host) 1:27:50 PM
I saw a picture a few months ago that I wanted to use instead. It was a billboard from the 70s in Leeds I think about reporting benefits fraud where somebody spray painted "Fuck Off Mind Your Own Business" but couldn't find it when I went looking.
Krista 1:57:51 PM
I miss outkast. No one else says "she moved like a brown stallion horse with skates on. You know."
Casey (host) 2:05:42 PM
That whole Big Boi portion was part of the inspiration for this
Krista 2:19:12 PM
YES, TAKE THIS JOB AMD SHOVE IT IS ONE OF MY FAVORITES
Krista 2:20:38 PM
It perfectly describes every last foreman I've ever worked under
Krista 2:20:55 PM
That bootlicking flattop haircut
Krista 2:21:50 PM
This is a fire country set btw, hitting all the classics
Casey (host) 2:24:24 PM
There's a link to this file for "Sixteen Tons" ripped off a pretty good quality 78
Krista 2:26:22 PM
Nice, thank you. I used that song to explain to a friend about how Google has set up their own company store model
Krista 2:39:13 PM
Without reading your note I was about to comment on the reverb! I never noticed it before, but I'm listening in a dark room with headphones and wow.
Casey (host) 2:40:43 PM
It's such a cool effect!
Casey (host) 2:41:51 PM
I had a mild obsession for a while about the studio where that was recorded because it was built in an old church in NYC and had this incredible natural reverb
Krista 2:44:56 PM
Have you gone to see the church? Been inside?
Casey (host) 2:45:16 PM
No it was demolished back in the 80s I think
Krista 2:45:34 PM
Sigh, of course it was.
Casey (host) 2:46:01 PM
Hopefully they don't do that to Sigma Sound in Philly...
Krista 2:48:04 PM
It was gutted, wasn't it?
Casey (host) 2:48:32 PM
It's not a working studio anymore but the building is still there for now
Casey (host) 2:49:00 PM
There's a campaign to get it designated as a protected historical building
Krista 2:52:33 PM
I hope they can.
