The mouth clicking sound in th Z's song was the most difficult for me. I can't think of another song with that click. Xhosa songs have a click that's further forward in the palate. This blixa song is so good

Same here, Bud! I love how Simon Reynolds suggests that even avant-garde electronic music is now a 'tradition'.

I can't believe I miss this, from the article: Jim Nollman's "interspecies music" involving "collaborations: with 20 orcas, 12 wolves, and 300 turkeys."

Turkeys don't collaborate with anyone, in my experience. Jim must be an expert caller.

Having scene Pulsalama several times in the early 80's I can attest to the validity of the description. May be a bit condescending but it rings true

Saw Pulsalama & Bush Tetras a couple times at a "club" that was on the 4th or 5th floor of an office building somewhere south of midtown I think. Those events are hazy. A friend of mine was crushing on the BT's guitar player, we had to see them as often as we could.
