I'm enjoying the unique Van Halen tribute the past two weeks

You might know Mr. McKelvie from a certain Recycling Show theme song, but dude's got other gems. The first three songs on his (forthcoming) album are a great 1-2-3 combo.

I saw a Van Halen tribute video this afternoon so incredible I don't want to spoil it before it airs on a future show!

The voice and name did ring a bell.

That Shorty cover of Hot For Teacher last night was great, but oooh, that moog version...

There are a LOT of Obnox records. Super cool stuff. Some is more "punk" than "funk," others are the opposite. Blown out throughout. Will always give a new one a listen.

A quarterly release schedule would make Ty Segall shake his head.

Cancellation of the Mdou Moctar tour was one of 2020's greatest blows. Well, for me anyway.

I feel fortunate I got to see them in the WFMU performance space in 2019. Was a head-bobbin' good time.

Speaking of records, I truly miss my PREX trips. I hope they can weather this storm.

While I have not been there since early 2020, my wife did visit them to get a signed Taylor Swift CD for our neighbors' daughter in recent weeks.

I have really enjoyed these re-airs. Have been able to improve the SQ of each a bit and I catch stuff I missed the first time through. Hopefully we don't have to do a ridiculous number of these but there's 250+ to go...
