In Germantown.

In fact it is > 10 shows though I've lost count at present. I do have a basis for an estimate, I still have my collection of mostly Foxhole shows & special events like his 1976 Bicentennial show in the St Mary's sanctuary, titled PHILADELPHIA PAST, PRESENT, & FUTURE. I've gotta start thinking about how or where I could get a showing of the collection.

I recently watched the 1980 "Joyful Noise" movie for the first time (it's on Amazon Prime). It was a really fascinating film - I wish it was twice as long, though.

Jim Innes, that is incredible. I've never heard of someone having a collection of Geno Empty Foxhole shows.

How is the sound?

Am sorry to say, I wasn't recording the shows, I was collecting the Foxhole & other Philly venue show posters.

I did get spend an afternoon with Sun Ra at the Morton st house when a friend of mine who worked for church organ co. & Ra demo'd their new electronic keyboard. . I'll write up an account of that day before years end. Suffice it to say it was a revelatory experience in all ways.

Last not least, Jerry, I was a Temple U undergrad in 1975 & spent most of my spare time on campus reading DownBeat magazine & listen to jazz records until I finally got the nerve to apply to be a DJ, my mentors there were Tom Kranz, Buddy Korn, & Russ Musto.

Buddy passed away 4 months ago I'm sorry to say.
