I don’t want to say that Sleepers song specifically sounded like Tuxedomoon, but they shared some similarities. it makes sense they shared the shared the same time and place.

The SF punk scene of that time had some pretty inventive and transgressive stuff. Chrome, Tuxedomoon, Crime. It was pretty cool how back in the day before everything was so homogenized these unique local sounds would sprout up. It’s not so much like that now.

Like Akron, OH. What the fuck was in the water there? This poduck place inexplicably produced so much awesome music in the punk era.

I've long had the thought to do a show dedicated to Subterranean Records.
