I was grooving to Al Green; thanks for including it!

Somehow I didn't learn about that one until this week thanks to my friend Carrie.

So great to hear a track from this second Evens album! And, yeah, it perfectly captures this moment! Love it!

That's why I love Keeping Score at Home: every week I hear new stuff like music by The Evens.

The Evens are the best "Seated Duo Rocking Out Hard" band of all time. Change my mind!

I won't argue that! Recently I listened to an interview with Ian from The Evens who said when Joe from Fugazi joined up to form Coriky the first thing he said was (basically) "I am NOT sitting down!"

Haha! Say, Jon ... do you remember an indie band called John's Black Dirt from Minneapolis? You introduced me to them back around '97 or so. Sorry if that makes you feel old. :-) Anyway, I would love to request them if you have them around the studio.

I *do* remember that band and I'd be happy to include them during a future show!

Oh wow ... good find. I gave away my Perpetual Optimism CD to a young musician years ago. So that blue vinyl option looks delightful.

Also, I forgot how good the Grass Records label was that John's Black Dirt was on. Lotsa important indie bands put out releases on it ...

True indeed. Unfortunately, it also means a bunch of those bands haven't been able to get their rights back for reissues (Brainiac for example).

Oh dear. One of those type of labels. That's unfortunate. Also, I'm pretty sure you introduced me to the Karl Hendricks Trio from said label way back then.

Snack: I recently ate a Lenny's & Lenny's chocolate chip cookie. It's amusing that they say it's 2 servings, as if ANYONE would eat half of that delicious cookie and then STOP.

Quality snack. I had two handfuls of raisins and am chasing them with a sub-par grapefruit seltzer. MORE SNACKS, PLEASE.

Correction: Lenny's & Larry's Complete Cookie. The cookie that eats like a meal!

Onesto sea salt crackers and Trader Joe’s garlic spread/dip. Plus an RRG!

The 365 Grapefruit seltzer I am drinking is no RRG that's for sure (but it was a free discard from my parents' fridge).

They unloaded like six of them on me when I stopped by their driveway on Monday to pick up a gift for my kid.
