The Cigarettes sounded like a sloppier Buzzcocks or a more polished Fall.

the cigarettes had that mod/punk thing going on - a theme i explore in this show a little further

I am not familiar the Chefs either. This is nice. I see its on Graduate Records. I wonder if it’s the same Graduate that put out the early UB40 records.

the chefs' singer helen still has an active solo career, she's absolutely charming.

Obviously took me to the infamous tv interview w Siouxsie Sioux in it Kinda mild by today’s standards/ shocking back then

and that interview was the inspiration for "where's bill grundy now" by the television personalities!

I just remembered that I saw a live clip of them years ago and someone in the audience throws a beer at the band and just landed perfectly in the singers hand and he doesn’t miss a beat. It was really impressive. I guess you had to see it.

The Strum and Thrum Compilation is one of my favorite things to come out this year. Very good! Elliot played some from it yesterday, what a great record.

The late Scott Miller was in Game Theory & Loud Family. Really original songwriter of angular pop songs.
