found on a reel to reel tape at an outdoor flea market in Philadelphia. Nothing was known about the group except for the song titles which were written on the tape box. In 2001 Octopus Records attempted to track down the identity of the band and eventually made contact with the band's drummer, living in Spain. A second and a third volumes (2007, on Birdhouse Records) of material were released but the band elected to remain anonymous." It seems that the "Unknown Mystery 60's Group" is in fact a clever modern artistic project from Philadelphia, led by guitarist Tim Shea and made to appear to sound like it was recorded in the 60's.
