Gorguts are giants of death metal.

Most definitely - there are lots of heavy bands out there but I think obscura is high up in the running for heaviest album of all time

Clearlight had some good moments. Cyrille Verdeaux can get a bit New Agey, though.

Yes, Shawn Lane somehow escaped my notice for too long. He sadly died young. He has a few good collaborations with Hellborg.
