Mickey (host) 9:13:17 AM
It is the only way.
Teresa Peacock 9:19:53 AM
Good Morning, Mickey! Good Morning, Jimbeaux! Is the sample in the Alash from Portishead?!
Mickey (host) 9:23:17 AM
Good Morning, Teresa. I think what you're asking about is Duma (Alash was the Tuvan throat singing), and that is a good question. The notes don't say from what I can see, but very possible.
Teresa Peacock 9:23:29 AM
Yeah, I think it was the Duma track. I think my playlist is lagging behind a tiny bit... I loved the Tuvan cowboy ballad!
jimbeaux 9:23:42 AM
Karlheinz...why are there choppers in our chambers?!?!
Teresa Peacock 9:26:38 AM
I think if Karlheinz was still with us, he'd answer: "Warum nicht?"
jimbeaux 9:28:21 AM
:)
Teresa Peacock 9:28:22 AM
Stockhausen was always up for whatevs. He'd try anything once
Mickey (host) 9:40:25 AM
Teresa & Jim, re: Stockhausen & Helicopters - I just reread the notes and it all apparently came to him in a dream.
Teresa Peacock 9:45:50 AM
Love that! Stockhausen has always struck me as one of the most playful -- and sometimes also wickedly mischievous! -- composers of the late 20th c.
Mickey (host) 10:01:44 AM
Thank You listeners and Ace Frehley. ozy on over the the Clamour Club.
