Ooooo!!! Just when you thought bass tunings couldn't get any lower! Love it!

Metal making great strides everyday

Metal scientists are always looking for ways to go ~ lower ~

Melvins = astrophysicists of sludge...or maybe that's an earth science.

Plate tectonics.

Definitely great contributors to the field

I think it's fair to say the Melvins mine the space sludge. Their advances in all areas should be heralded and celebrated.

Great follow-up to Melvins! Somehow Helmet and Melvins are associated for me especially Helmet from 1992.

Yeah I definitely associate the two as well

I think they've toured together before

Personally, Melvins-Helmet-Unsane make up a kind of trifecta.

Yeah they all have that noisey garage sludge sound

Oh, yeah, just uncovered some Unsane 7"s as i was going thru my records with one of my kids tonight!

I think I shook my head at your show first time I heard it a few years ago Now it grows on me every week to the point the sludgier the better :)

I got a lot of backlash from my show when I started since WPRB hadn't had a metal show in a while and listeners weren't used to it

People def warmed up to it though and I'm glad to have y'all listening!

Yeah now I get some of the goof but I do come for the sludge / scratchy vinyl had a great death metal comedy bit about the growl and one chord on Monday

I'm so glad you persisted! Between your show and 'Show No Mercy' w/ Harrison on Monday afternoons, I'm definitely relishing my heavy, heavy weekday listening!

Always pick up on new stuff, plus you throw some classics out there. Yeah, harrison is great, too !

It was sadly a vicious cycle for a while where since there wasn't much metal being played, the station wouldn't receive stuff from metal labels, which meant we wouldn't have any metal to play
