[It just occurred to me that this track, despite the new name, is substantially the same as "Fohat Digs Holes in Space" which I already played. 😖 Rats.]

10:48 AM		Steve Hillage Pentagrammaspin Fish Rising (Remastered) Virgin Catalogue 2006 Issued in late 1975, this features Gong members (minus Allen and Smyth) with Dave Stewart on keyboards. The track "Pentagrammaspin" had until this CD reissue only been found on a Virgin Records sampler double LP (the one with the piece sign ✌️ but on a 6-fingered hand).

11:44 AM		Here and Now Secrets II UFOasis Here and Now 1993 Here Ѯ Now backed Daevid Allen as part of Planet Gong. The group grew out of the UK Free Festivals movement in the 1970s, freely giving their services to associated groups, e.g. Legalise Cannabis Campaign, Stonehenge Festival, BIT, Release etc.. For many years they never charged an admission fee to their gigs, instead asking for voluntary contributions towards their costs via an organized collection at each event. Most of their music is self released.

Space Age Ballad New Geocentric World of Acid Mothers Temple Squealer Music 2001 Japanese psychedelic rock band founded in 1995 by members of the Acid Mothers Temple soul-collective as a freak-out group for the 21st century, led by Kawabata Makoto. According to acidmothers.com, U.F.O. is for "underground freak out".

Ha thanks, what are you having? I make my own syrups for lattes and my favorite is a cardamom syrup I make, makes for a tasty latte, I don't always have it but I think this day calls for it

I saw the latter-day Gong at NEARFest in 2009. They were still impressive.

Although surprisingly, the Steve Hillage Band played at the same festival and kinda bored me...

I only saw Gong in Phila for their Shapeshifter tour in 1995 or 96.

Hillage's solo work has enormous variability. Love some of it, other stuff not so much.

While in my teens, I found a UK import of Daevid Allen's Banana Moon in a used record bin. I bought it because it looked so cool, and that started my explorations of the Gong family.

I believe Banana Moon from 71 is his first solo record.

I think you're right. And the UK cover is particularly trippy.

Clearlight had some good material back then. Besides "Symphony", his "Visions" and "Forever Blowing Bubbles" has interesting music.

Forgot about his overnight slots - I think that's when I first heard him in my tender youth.

Unfortunately I couldn't fit in anything from Planet Gong, or Mother Gong, or New York Gong or Gong Maison. It's all too much.
