The story of her album "Paint a Lady" is a wild one. The master sat IN HER BASEMENT until the 2000s when it was rediscovered by some record hunting fiend, I don't remember the name, and re-released

well...onions ARE the foundation of almost every dish. I <3 onions!

She was also a prolific jingle writer for ads, though I haven't searched which ads. I agree about the paul mccartney vibes

how was it? My dad used to mix sauerkraut into my ice cream which he thought was hilarious, it didn't change the taste of the ice cream, just the texture

it was good! whole bulb roasted, touch of salt, touch of lemon juice for a quart batch.

we got a machine earlier this summer, might have to try a garlic batch

oh, to have an ice cream machine! what have you made so far??

the first ever was the best so far, a brilliant cherry, then we went on to buttermilk, classic vanilla, coconut, mint chip - nothing too adventurous yet!

also if you make the jimbeaux garlic special you have to report back on it

the ice cream shop owowcow in Lambertville frequently has very interesting flavors. My roommate will get takeout ice cream there and pick just based on the name. "What flavor is this?" him: "oh uh...Home Alone Movie Pun?"

i lived down the street from that place for a few years! my favorite was smashing lemon blueberry with either house vanilla or a honey/flower thing if they had it

I've been working on making the perfect cup of matcha tea, I think I've got it down to how I like it. Fresh gooseberries? I keep striking out on finding those locally.

rarely find in markets...just grow them! old adage is "pint of gooseberries, pint of blood" because of the thorns.

@connor their ice cream is just incredible. the quality of the local ingredients shines through. I am not much of a wine drinker but I AM a milk drinker and I could talk anyone's ear off as to the "terroir" of the different local dairies

i used to talk with a neighbor about the icey-creamy spectrum. he proposed that bent spoon is a bit more icey and owow on the creamier side

I don't have much experience with bent spoon! I know that owow uses honey, i wonder if that makes a difference in the freezing temperature of the ice cream
