Bud Burroughs 11:13:47 PM
Really enjoying the orchestration of this piece. Lots of shifting textures.
Marvin Rosen (host) 11:21:41 PM
Erkki-Sven Tuur is a fascinating Estonian composer, much different than Arvo Par!!
Bud Burroughs 11:24:18 PM
Definitely! I love Part, and this is very different, but compelling. What is it with those Estonians and their great music?
Bud Burroughs 11:30:58 PM
And I'm glad I finally have some time to really listen to the marathon. I'll be here as long as I can stay awake!
Marvin Rosen (host) 11:38:33 PM
I know, Bud! So much of their music is so creative and sounds lke nothing you ever heard before!! Have you listened to any of the music by Jaan Raats?
Bud Burroughs 11:40:59 PM
I think I have, but I can't exactly remember. I'll have to look him up.
Bud Burroughs 11:43:38 PM
A lot of music I hear on your show ends up on my Spotify playlists. It's amazing how much contemporary music is available there. I buy hardcopies of my favorites though, since Spotify payments are such a miserable pittance.
George Korein 11:59:40 PM
Also, music that is on Bandcamp can be purchased digitally, so hard copies aren't required to support artists.
