I've been wondering when I can call in to the studio again...

sᵷui̩ʇǝǝɹ⅁, dude. The WPRB studio is still off limits. All broadcasting is remote. Increasingly, WPRB DJs are live. My show is still pre-recorded.

Happy new year to you too! And makes sense, and yeah I appreciate all wprb and the DJs have been doing. I remember when live shows first went on hiatus with the pandemic and it was a shock, I imagine there's a lot of work going on behind the scenes

Yes, loads of work going on by WPRB management.

We all appreciate the efforts by PRB people to have u all on the air remotely / live or recorded It was great joy to this listener when u all started returning last May :)

Spintron.com has a map with stations. They only post what is in their database (i.e. that have the little CD cover thumbnails). I don't think they ever post the obscure things that dierdre finds.

Stations on automation have an *asterisk next to the timestamp.

I find Discogs a very confusing marketplace

I end up using Discogs a lot to get info on discographies, plus record dates and tracks and labels.

My complaint is that it takes eons for a seller to acknowledge a purchase

I've never tried to purchase anything there.

I think it depends a lot on the seller. I've had good and bad transactions there.

My last transaction was good, a seller from Canada

much prefer Bandcamp's website

I don't know how easy it is for sellers to use, but that's probably because I can't seem to bring myself to actually sell a record once I own it...

been there, It'a amazing how inexpensive classical cds are there. In Tower records day I could only afford maybe two

Unfortunately it's about an hour away for me. I have to make do with Siren records in Doylestown, which is a lot closer.

Selecta Jerry? Does tibbetts have some Caribbean tunes? And I've heard the largest discogs seller is located in South Philly, but it's a small record store itself so you can't really peruse the collection in person

Tibbetss uses no jamaican rhythms.

California Guitar Trio has some good tunes, sometimes proto-math rock.

Beautiful world syndicate. It's not the biggest but my friend works there and just does discogs all day for them. I have another friend who owns his own record store in collegeville, since you seem to be in the burbs

Covet is from SanFrancisco. Typical of California math rock like Chon and Floral - more pretty and less metal.
