My musical tastes changed significantly b/w signing up for Columbia House and having to choose my non-$0.01 tapes. Eventually I think my parents had to pay Columbia House $20 to make it all stop.

Side note: Judging by outward appearances, my copy of the Galaxie 500 record could easily be mistaken for an ancient Aramaic text. It is so yellowed with age -- looks like it's from thousands of years ago.
