Just ate two handfuls of leftover panettone and chugged an iced coffee. Feeling great!

Hi Jon! Dan Ruccia -- he of 'Tomorrow Is An Octopus" -- and Pat Ganley of 'Clamour Club' fame also are big fans of 'The Cool Greenhouse'. Dan says , "They're like all that's good about The Fall without the crabby parts".

Hey hey! I can see both being into it. Their "Alexa" song on Maura's show is where I first learned of them. Remind me of the band Dog Chocolate, who I champion often.

This Hum is MASSIVE.

Yeah, the tone on this record is absurd.

Never expected to be as into this record as I was.

And, as always, Mdou Moctar is straight fire.

Can't wait to hear their next one. I expect it will be out this year.

Not a big Neil Young fan, but this song is pretty damn good

I somehow missed out on the gaelynn lee! Gotta check that out.

That's the only track on the record she sings on. The rest is instrumental. I believe I have some of her other material if you would like access to it.

Homegrown not the NY record I listened to the most in 2020 but certainly the only one that came out last year.

I lucked out 20-30 yrs ago and got a vinyl copy with the yellow beach umbrella print on the inside jacket

Also my daughter and I had a memorable evening early in lockdown making action figures dance to Side A of Tonight's The Night.

Band I liked then later joined did cover of that song w/said dune buggies lyric at 1 of their first gigs I attended

Wish I could still find my CD of the first Hum record when they sounded like a totally different band. I suspect it was "borrowed" by a housemate along the way...

I remember Hum appearing on a well known syndicated fm radio show back in day w/their hit. They refused to turn down. And it was all the better for it.

I saw HUM play at an abandoned pizza place in 2014 and it was terrific.

That's a touch of an over-simplification but it sounds better that way.

I don't think they ever went away fully. But just played very sporadically.

Yes that story is shared by many 80s 90s bands I guess. Work the day jobs and gig occasionally after the big break in the day

Wegman’s frozen eggplant cutlets are pretty good!

We recently instituted a now-two-week old concept on Tuesdays called TWT (Tuesday Walk Takeout) and both successful takeouts so far have been within a door or two of a quality eggplant farm hoagie spot.

I enjoyed our ramen (week one) and pizza (last night) but HOAGIE HOAGIE HOAGIE.

Each Tuesday it is lighter out for 7-9 minutes than the Tuesday prior.

Every day gets a little brighter, man.

Also, sundown comes later.

Depends on how it is incorporated in the sandwich. At Hoagie Haven they fry. If it was more of a panini situation I'd personally prefer grilled.
