Saw some great shows in Trenton area 20 25 yrs ago. Bob Smith Organ Trio. Bootsy Barnes and Ritchie Cole and Bo Parker guested at times

Brian D, that is Will Constantine Jr's favorite subject. I cannot tell you how many times he told me about shows he witnessed in Trenton, including this Bob Smith guy. He speaks about these shows, and ones with Richie Cole, so lovingly!

How is Will? I l know him from prb as well as the music scene (John & Peter's back in day)

Will is good. He doesn't have the computer equipment we need to do these shows during covid. He is not into technology or spending for technology.

He still works his ass off as a Chef at Whole foods on Route 1

Give him best. Saw him last at his workplace 3 yrs ago when I was teaching gtr in Princeton area

He misses doing his show but doesn't complain. He will return when we are allowed back on Princeton campus

He has been a chef his whole life. He is passionate about cooking, but more passionate about jazz.

Oo, love to. So percussion focused jazz spot. Very much not online so hard to find info, like it doesnt have a website and the address was hard to confirm from random Facebook pages, but found out about it from a sangeet concert announcement, a classical Indian musician was playing there and it was a magical show. Great great space, I forget her name but the owner is a jazz drummer and lives there too so likes to keep it low key but because of that it's such a comfy space with great acoustics

Just popped in my head when thinking about great jazz venues.

Highly recommend seeing any show you can there..

Sangeet, I didn't know all that much about David Darling, and got a chance to explore him more this week. I was very very surprised by his post ECM output

Do you know local saxman Ken Ulansey? He just posted some excellent tracks on YouTube that he recorded with David Darling 30 years ago.

I also was not aware of his post-ECM work. Saw a few of David Darling's CDs in PREX' NewAge section.

I do know him, Bud. A tremendous player. His band played at my daughter's Bat Mitzvah!

Yeah I was down in FLA on vacay just before the world closed and I remember hearing Will and Jerry do some great live shows on prb as I drank coffee on back porch of our rental right on the Intracoastal Waterway looking out at the water..... seems like long ago
