The chef is doing some yoga now, but I'll be reporting back do not worry.

This recipe did not happen the first time because apparently the winter squash stew needs winter squash - which we forgot to buy. Whoops.

Second time the recipe did not happen because an entire bunch of cilantro was needed and there was no cilantro in this house. What a journey.

The Wax Chattels stuff is quite good. They have at least two vocalists in the band, which means the songs don't all sound the same.

Never made injera, but consumed far too much of it in one sitting.

Love that new Wax Chattels record. And regarding set one, thanks again for putting Silver Scrolls on my radar in 2020. Without this show I'm pretty certain I wouldn't have discovered as I didn't see them mentioned anywhere.

Same...hard not to! May try someday, but you need teff flour. Prob beats driving 45 min to nearest restaurant.

Yeah, the closest Ethiopian places to me are in New Brunswick but the spots in west Philly were better I've found.

Sadly the stew and the song didn't time out properly. Still six minutes away from cooked.

Once went on a date to an "all you can eat" Ethiopian buffet and I think I'm still full from the amount of injera I had that night.

Hard to stop! The place in NB is good, but yeah Philly places real good. D.C. is Ethio heaven!

Chicago too. 2-3 places on one street and they had an agreement that a different place got to have the buffet night on different days of the week.

before you move on from injera completely, (that was a cool song btw), let me just say that I dream of sleeping on a bed of injera

Correction: I have been informed this is more of a north African stew. Also, it is delicious.

I have a great recipe for African Ground Nut stew and it is delicious. Not a far cry from some SE Asia peanut dishes but different enough.

Somehow "Pissed Jeans" is OK to say on the radio but I believe "Kneeling In Piss" is NOT.
