The Ethiopiques film parallels the history of Addis Ababa and it's change from cultural center and major tourist attraction to it's falling on hard times; the story of the record label that put out the records and an important band of core musicians and their story over the years

I saw the tour with Primus and Dean (Mickey m) Ween Band opening (w Guy Heller, Dave Dreiwitz et al doing great Bowie covers etc). Primus had stage bookended by HUGE astronauts with holographic floating staring faces. And lots of wacked video. They love treating the live show as a giant trip toy for the fans
