The premiere episode of “Murdoch Mysteries” concerned Tesla. It opened with the elephant electrocution (part of Edison’s pro-Direct Current plot to discredit Westinghouse’s Alternating Current, which Tesla championed).

There was a movie about the Edison-Westinghouse rivalry, belatedly released in the US two autumns ago, called “The Current War”. I didn’t see it it but the critics were not kind.

When I first saw Man Or Astro-Man? in 1993, their show wasn’t quite so sophisticated. They only had some portable TV sets strewn across the stage, each one playing a VHS tape of some kaiju/kyodai program.

i only ever saw them at the touch & go anniversary show and theri stage setup was FANCY
