Sorry, the name of that compilation series of bad songs by celebrities was actually "Golden Throats". I miss the "Atrocious Music" showcase Irwin had on his WFMU program. Herve Villechaize and Tammi Faye Baker made me cringe.

I first heard a brief clip of that rendition of “Lucy…” in 1983 on a segment of Late Night With David Letterman called “Dave’s Record Collection”. I assumed it was just a gag produced by the show’s writers. I couldn’t believe it when I found out it was real.
