Last schedule, when Deirdre and DJ Pup were back-to-back, I was constantly mentally bookmarking deep-dive obscurity tracks from their shows. You're not alone, Mickey!

It freed up Kreutzmann to drive things like never before.

Thank you so much for all your thoughtful selections today! Those solo piano pieces -- the Children's Songs and the Piano Improvs -- always make my heart skip a beat. They're so introspective and intimate and each is such perfect understated gem, like a Brazilian bossa-inflected Mikrokosmos. I tear up every time I hear them

I'm not a uniform-wearing, card-carrying Deadhead, but I'm quite fond of the first 10 years or so. Never outgrew my preference for the psychedelic years, but I agree Kreutzmann sounds great alone, especially Europe 72 stuff.

I do absolutely love the 68-era psychedelia. My other heretical belief is that Mickey was much better pre-departure than he ever was after he returned.
