I really loved Lovecraft Country the TV show. It's gory but also profound. Confronts Lovecraft's racism in a really interesting way and builds off his mythology

I do, of course, like Lovecraft's writing. At The Mountains of Madness is a very good radio play. Fine as a novella but as a radio broadcast it is stellar, really found its best medium there I think

Yeah only found out about lovecraft recently/ the owner of the bookstore i frequent just told me he knew matt ruff the author of lovecraft country in college I’ve never read his or original stuff or seen hbo show / i gotta a lot of discovering to do

DJs have been appending my name, so i just adopt anything interesting they give me for a while.

Maybe these dj’s will morph jimbeaux into a new variation! :)

I challenged myself to find metal I like as I find it to be a very difficult genre (other than hair metal and proto metal) really like this Morowe album

I listened to about 100 hours of metal from 2010-on to see if I really could trick my synapses and turns out I can! Still not a super fan but I find something intriguing about the percussion and of course the guitar here

My 3rd grade teacher read that book to our class and there was much wailing and gnashing of teeth at a certain beheading in the book. Looking back, that's a weird AF choice to read to a bunch of 8 year olds

Loved tLtW&tW book. 5th grade memory. Too much cornstarch coating on the Turk D'lite makes it terrible. But the inner candy part was like a soft gumdrop when we made it back then. Not great

Dave & Brian, I agree. It was interesting to try, but I'm not going to become a fan. When I read the book, I always imagined that it must have been INCREDIBLE for Edmund to sell his family into slavery for it.
