the parade instrumentation is indeed compelling. That reminds me of the Maria Schneider Orchestra. Totally different concept and sound, but I love that she uses big band forms to make the most apocalyptic big band jazz

It was so warm today, strange to go out walking barelegged with snow boots on in my woods, collecting acorns and flowing deertracks. That sounds great, I saw The National on that tour too, and then again in 2010 (I think, maybe it was 2011). The lead singer of the national seems extremely stage shy
