Very much still winter this morning

Aye. But most of the snow has melted. We can expect 60 degree weather by Tuesday.
the_dude 7:38:55 AM
I have a motorcycle that's been out of commission for over 2 years and I just got it back.. very excited for nice weather!! And really enjoyed those Nguyên Lê tracks

Good morning, kentman.
kentman 7:48:45 AM
there's an recording of medieval music that I play now and then. Songs Of Angels based on the music of a french abbot Gautier de Coincy performed by Phillip Pickett and The New London Consort I ould add as an addendum to last week's chat on the subject
ǝɹnɔsqꓳ ǝɥꓕ ǝʌɐꓷ (host) 7:50:32 AM
Thank you, kentman. I am always ready to hear more medieval music!
kentman 7:52:10 AM
the only problem is the lyrics, a lot of anti-Semitic stuff apropos of the church at that time, but the music is sublime
ǝɹnɔsqꓳ ǝɥꓕ ǝʌɐꓷ (host) 7:52:57 AM
the_dude 8:00:04 AM
Ever see the medieval covers of modern songs on YouTube? Think you might dig it kentman. And thanks ǝʌɐꓷ , they're a lot of fun! I just have a smaller one from 70s so it's a modest but still zippy, not too intimidating. Try riding some time, get hooked, and then we can start a wprb club!

Re: motorcycles, I am not afraid of them as much as I am afraid of inattentive car drivers.
kentman 8:03:23 AM
being on a motorcycle at least on the back of one driven by someone else is like being strapped to a rocket
the_dude 8:08:55 AM
Very very true about the other drivers, especially in America I find. Empty roads are definitely more fun. New Jersey has some good ones. The only thing is I can't listen to the radio while riding!
kentman 8:10:34 AM

Sourland Mts area if you "go inland" and explore NJ side. Nice scenery
Christine Duffy 8:33:20 AM
Since you mentioned Route 29 as a beautiful motorcycle route, I'll add that it's a good bicycle route also. When we bike from Lambertville to Frenchtown & back, we always see lots of motorcyclists.

Brian D 8:34:14 AM
<-- Car only but big fan of seeking out back roads. Been a map geek since I was a kid
Christine Duffy 8:34:37 AM
In the winter, Route 29 has ice formations on the rocks, and the bare trees allow a much clearer river view. ❄
kentman 8:36:16 AM
you cycle up there, wow, bravo, being a Pa boy I always get lost in Jersey
jimbeaux 8:36:49 AM
Baldpate Mtn and Goat Hill overlook are nice hikes on NJ side in that area!

the_dude 8:39:48 AM
Saving all these places, and I enjoy bicycling as much as the motorized version for sure, usually a city biker though. But lol was that the animaniacs I heard? The reboot is pretty cool if you haven't seen it yet!

ǝɹnɔsqꓳ ǝɥꓕ ǝʌɐꓷ (host) 8:49:35 AM

the_dude 8:49:37 AM
Yeah the survey was pretty neat! Hope it helps y'all. And check it out if you're a fan, it's on Hulu though, but it's pretty good - knows it's audience, not perfect but definitely not cringey or too saturated with topical humor. I haven't seen them all yet though - ha! Missed that Christine, almost wanna redo it just to see
kentman 8:50:09 AM
that was painless like a vaccine, the survey I mean
ǝɹnɔsqꓳ ǝɥꓕ ǝʌɐꓷ (host) 8:50:24 AM

Christine Duffy 8:52:45 AM
@kentman, was your arm sore after taking the survey?
kentman 8:53:22 AM
no, my brain was a little askew, that's all
kentman 8:55:00 AM

Mark 8:55:26 AM
@christine that’s a pretty ambitious bike ride from lville to frenchtown / I’m looking forward to do it in the next couple weeks again :)
Christine Duffy 8:57:39 AM
@Mark, after not riding all winter, I am not up for that now. I have to build back up! I don't ride all winter like in the past.
the_dude 8:58:41 AM
Totally kentman, I may have cheated and put two down
Mark 8:59:29 AM
haha I hear you i did it first time last fall and it wasn’t easy - around 25 miles
Christine Duffy 9:01:06 AM
I'm nosy; I want to be the person who reads and reviews the survey replies. I had a list on my phone I referred to when I listed some of the musicians/bands that PRB turned me on to.
Christine Duffy 9:02:08 AM
@Mark, congrats! 🚲 I think that route may be longer than 25 miles! Maybe more like 30.
kentman 9:02:19 AM

Christine Duffy 9:16:15 AM

ǝɹnɔsqꓳ ǝɥꓕ ǝʌɐꓷ (host) 9:16:35 AM
@Gerald - unfortunately the 6:00-7:00 a.m. hour is handled by our automation. Its playlist is random, and we have no record of what was aired.
the_dude 9:16:39 AM
A bit I think, but I've explored bucks, Montco, and nj more. I'd like to get out all over this season. Any recommendations? And gerald unfortunately we'll never know! It's the station robots before 7 and there isn't a playlist for that - ask for it on the survey!
