Oh, thanks gawd. I only want to be taken as snarky when I’m trying to be Snarky with a capital S. 🤠 Mostly your voice and the background music are at the same levels via streaming, anyway and it can be tricky to hear you.

Yeah I just saw that on stereo gum amazing track samples / pretty sure it’s the maxwell house commercial from quite awhile ago :)

The album is all about some weird, expansive conception of the midcentury avant-garde, so that seems totally plausible

There was a recent discussion on the WPRB DJ Facebook group about the Sacred Bones tribute to Black Sabbath that reminded me of this slightly older set of Black Sabbath covers.

Racebannon is underappreciated. "Satan is Kicking Yr Dick In" may be one of the greatest album titles of all time. And I like this version better than Sabbath's.

It really is. They were absolutely the best prog screamo band of the mid 00s (and now I go bash my head against my desk for coming up with the unholy term "prog screamo")

You could sell "prog screamo" to Alternative Press to describe some Hot Topic band.
