hope you're brewing some good coffee this morning

i brewed a big ol' pot of espresso and am working it thru it!

that would kill me, I think! One cup of coffee is enough to wire me all day! once in a while I'll have a shot of espresso (more before my cheap espresso machine killed itself)

it boiled through its seal and then boiled the controls!

Good morning. Loved hearing the Irish tunes. If you drink regular coffee daily in 12 oz or more cup you are probably going to drink more caffeine than if you drank espresso . Unless you drank an insane amount of espresso. Espresso may have more caffeine by volume but usually it's taken in small shots. So a 12oz cup or more of reg coffee has more caffeine than a shot of espresso. It's just dark and strong tasting so that adds to the wow factor too

I have a dainty cup, Brian! I think it holds between 7 and 8 ounces. Not 8 full ounces, I tried filling it from the measuring cup and that was too much.

And the beverage of the week for some Guinness stout often scares people by the color and bitter (for some) taste. But it is low in alcohol . Not a high calorie beverage as far as alcoholic beverages go

I remember reading the calorie count and being surprised by it. It feels thick in the mouth.

The ancient practice of dark brewed beverages that get color & flavor from roasted plant matter. Yeah, feel can be misleading. I hear people constantly say stout is "heavy "and I just can't understand that. But... different perceptions...

Yes, I grow heirloom varieties from the Andes, so we had some really nutty flavored ones and an heirloom from Germany that was low glycemic
