one of the best concerts i ever went to was elder in this small bar in richmond in 2013 i think, no more than a 50 square feet space, was amazing

And this particular Earthless track is fabulous! Also reminds me of the first Funkadelic album in feel (+ bongos).

which is more or less heart of downtown, it's a cool city! I lived just outside of it but went to high school in richmond

Ah cool! Bummer though I've heard that was awesome but closed before covid. And that sounds fun, I love Philly but I have family outside Richmond now, girlfriend is from VA, shes said Richmond has a great heavy scene

yeah Richmond's scene is pretty good, not sure what's there to replace strange matter but I visit richmond occasionally when going to see fam, so I try to keep an eye on the concert scene

not sure it beats Philly though

that was a treat when living in Princeton, was only a 50 minute drive

For sure, Philly's is pretty top notch but that's good to hear, yeah sorry to bear the bad news too.. but I think things will really explode everywhere though once things start reopening
