I scrolled down to the cardamom conversation, black cardamom has a smokier taste. There are 2 species of it, one that's used in Indian cooking and one in Vietnamese/Thai/Chinese cooking. The latter is the key to a perfect Khao Soi and I have found it at Passyunk Square in Philly

Brian D (2021 Donor! u can too!) 9:05:53 AM
I was recently turned on to an album by Conan Mockasin "Forever Dolphin Love". It would fit nicely into many WPRB djs shows. If Ween and Flaming Lips and Mac DeMarco evolved in Europe, joined a cult and put on a musical. Lots of fun sounds running in and out of the mix, processed voices, lush echoey rhythm guitar. Lot of fun.

I miss our makrut tree. Sticky leaves attracted dust and little white spots grew all over it. For a while there had fresh leaves to throw into a pot of rice or a wok.
Brian D (2021 Donor! u can too!) 9:10:17 AM
Ya. I could see evaD, Pato/Pangaeo, Hanna and others working Conan M into their show
the_dude abides (your pledge) 9:10:34 AM
Niiiice , been wanting a house with some land for trees and plants like that
Brian D (2021 Donor! u can too!) 9:14:14 AM
I would score the lime leaves a couple times w knife to get some more essentials to release. Smashed clove of garlic and a lime leaf in rice was wonderful. I made a nice hybrid of 2 Thai dishes wchicken, cashews, fish sauce, sugar , hot chile or 2, whatever stir fry vegs/greens we had that time o year that fit in... let the lime leaf sit in there. Mmm

ǝɹnɔsqꓳ ǝɥꓕ ǝʌɐꓷ (host) 9:24:54 AM
Not familiar, dude, but will explore later today.
the_dude abides (your pledge) 9:32:24 AM
Cool yeah it's a duo, drummer and bassist who does a less intense metal vocal, it's fun and funky though, curious what ya think
ǝɹnɔsqꓳ ǝɥꓕ ǝʌɐꓷ (host) 9:32:53 AM
I will let you know.
the_dude abides (your pledge) 9:37:32 AM
They're all short songs, most under a minute so yeah easy to explore. I'm most familiar with 2001-2004 stuff but they keep the same style
