I wish I could remember who told me about this record. Also, it seems pretty clear to me that unless there was parallel thought across continents, Arthur Russell heard this record from the 1970s.

Pre-dates his work, yet sounds shockingly like some of it.

You know, decent enough! Went for my first run of 2021 yesterday and am excited about what the Membership Drive holds. So I'm in a good place tonight (knocks on everything).

Fishboy and the Mean Green, a big 30 days for Denton.

I've got a client down there, and I love to go down there because UNT's jazz station is phenomental.

The people I know from Denton are excellent across the board.

Even though the school is UNT, the call signal is KNTU for some reason

Hmmm...good call (letters). Of all the cities in Texas, i think I've met 3 from Denton!

Theory: Much like how College of New Jersey used to be Trenton State (thus WTSR) was UNT once NTU?

Amazing. There's a copy of a certain Big Black record in the WPRB stacks with every possible replacement word for the last word in the record's title scrawled on it. Wish I had a photo handy.

Having never written a rock opera, let alone a four part rock opera, wrapping my head around this F'd Up Year of the Horse behemoth is difficult for my wee mind.

Especially when, like in Act Three, moments reference back musically to prior acts.
