I saw Bongwater at Maxwell’s in 1988, and B.A.L.L. sometime later at the Court Tavern. I imagine Shimmy Disc founder Kramer was displeased when “Seinfeld” went on the air and inadvertently stole his moniker!

hi david! i absolutely love some of those B.A.L.L> projects so i can only imagine how they were live! i honestly thought kramer was a joke on the seinfeld character at first but little did i know..

and dan all DJs need to contribute to release a wprb noise album

I remember in 1995 reading in the New York Times about a rare live performance by Kramer at the Knitting Factory. As incredible as it sounds, I think it was the weekend after the “Seinfeld” episode aired which revealed the Kramer character’s first name!

When I had just started at WPRB, I remember having to go to the PREX to get my anime girl shirt in the oh so cool red ringer version (the blue ringer was soooo not cool)

Though the green ringer was the sign of a real OG WPRBer
