Liz Bot 7:16:49 AM
@the dude- Ganger album was specifically “Hammock Style” and tracks Upye and Lid Of The Stars. Saw them at the TLA in ‘98- first time they’d been to the U.S. They opened for Mogwai and were so much better than Mogwai
Liz Bot 7:18:04 AM
3rd band on the bill was Godspeed you black emperor. Also better than Mogwai’s playing that night.

All us folks sitting in the balcony together at shows and not even knowing it.
Liz Bot 9:38:13 AM
KC at the Met was my most recent KC show too. George with me at that, but also was in NYC at a wedding on a boat during one of their NYC shows for that tour- I told him he should dive off and swim to Fripp

Brian D (D For Donor!) 9:38:51 AM
My wife loves Zappa from youth as do I (and she loves WPRB of course a keeper yes) and w went to see Dweezil Zappa Plays Zappa at Keswick when they were doing Live at Roxy lp. No line for ladies room. Gents line was just about down the steps and out the front door.
Mickey Kane 9:39:25 AM
What's the last show everybody saw pre-lockdown?
Brian D (D For Donor!) 9:39:32 AM
Back when Dweezil was allowed to use his surname in the name of his band
Emeril "MONTHY & MULTI-DONOR" Lagasse 9:39:32 AM
also duly noted re: the unisex bathrooms. the met was p dang cool when my partner and i saw bob dylan open it, as i have casually mentioned before ;)
Bud Burroughs 9:39:37 AM
I was also at the KC Met show! Sitting almost directly behind me was John DiLiberto of a completely different radio show.
Christine (PRB pledger allegiance) 9:39:42 AM
@Brian, I believe it! The Keswick needs to solve the bathroom issue.

Christine (PRB pledger allegiance) 9:43:17 AM
My last show was California Guitar Trio & Montreal Guitar Trio at the Sellersville Theater. @Emeril, were you there?
Bud Burroughs 9:43:49 AM
I think the last show I saw was Vernon Reid, Calvin Weston, and Jamalaadeen Tacuma packed into Bob & Barbara's.
Liz Bot 9:43:57 AM
I had tickets to Wire, and didn’t wanna chance it, but i couldn’t cancel that Chieftains night with my dad...I mean, I would’ve had I known just how insanely risky that was, though!
Emeril "MONTHY & MULTI-DONOR" Lagasse 9:44:25 AM
@christine No I was not there but I think i remember that show coming up. CGT are regulars there
Bud Burroughs 9:45:13 AM
First show I had tickets for that was cancelled was the Philip Glass White Lama world premiere :(
Emeril "MONTHY & MULTI-DONOR" Lagasse 9:45:15 AM
Looking at my calendar, i dont wanna believe it but the last concert i saw before lockdown might've been (working) Live Wire, an acdc tribute band on NYE
Brian D (D For Donor!) 9:45:22 AM
Ween Met Opera House Phila Dec 14 , 2019. From Pork Roll... to ... Weasel a fine time. Last show for me.
Liz Bot 9:45:41 AM
@Bud- Nice! Buskirk and I were just talking about the time Jamalaadeen came to WPRB. He was VERY interested in finding Central Jersey thrift shops to replenish his vintage store!
Christine (PRB pledger allegiance) 9:45:57 AM
@Bud, that's a shame. :(
Mickey Kane 9:45:59 AM
I had tix for Malkmus in April 2020 with the middle eastern set-up. Hope he still does that again someday.
Emeril "MONTHY & MULTI-DONOR" Lagasse 9:46:00 AM
but i've been lucky enough to be a camera operator for a handful of live streamed concerts, so it's been like a personal concert with the band playing to a theater that is empty besides me, emeril, with a camera
Liz Bot 9:46:24 AM
George & I were supposed to see Kin Crimson at the Mann Music Center on our anniversary weekend in mid-June 2020
Bud Burroughs 9:46:38 AM
@Liz that's pretty cool - I didn't know Mr. Tacuma had a vintage store!
Mickey Kane 9:47:23 AM
Yeah, where is this Jamaaladeen vintage shop?
Brian D (D For Donor!) 9:47:34 AM
Emeril I am right down the road in Dub-land Pa. Perky See address. But i could walk to Dublin intersection in minutes.
David Shortell 9:48:11 AM
@Brian D. Who forbade Dweezil to name his group after himself?
Liz Bot 9:48:23 AM

Liz Bot 9:55:18 AM
@Mickey- Jamaaladeen’s store is Redd Carpet Room, but it’s by appointment only. He dressed my friends Nick Millevoi & Dan Blacksberg. He’s like a clothing guide
the_dude abides (your pledge) 9:55:34 AM

Liz Bot 9:58:59 AM
Bud, remember to ask Calvin if he’s ready to be a planetarium citizen when next you see him perform, whenever that may be!! It’s a reference to a song from an album he made in the late 80s that he regards as his silliest
Mark 9:59:05 AM
