Habitat Enrichment: Perfect Square Drive Show

WPRB has been around for 81 years! 81 is a perfect square of a perfect square so Casey (of Downer Party) and I have prepared a show with square music! Also featured is a little number game! Give me a number from 1-16 (another square) and you will receive facts about the animal assigned to that number! Some of the prospective animals include: Angler Fish, Jumping Worm, Sea Anenome, Spectacled Bear, and so many more!

I was just thinking about Don Tonik the other day! And, of course, 'Totally Wired' with DJ Chester -- boy, do I miss him too! I used to call up the station with comments, requests, convo starters, etc. and Chester would yell into the receiver "DUDE! GOOD TO HEAR FROM YOU!" I loved being called "Dude" by Chester

Tapirs were the hardest to spot thus most sought-after animal to find while hiking in the Corcovado National Park in Costa Rica where my sister in law worked for three years. We saw a lot of rare animals the one time we visited her, but we didn’t see a tapir!

The cooler pig-like creatures we spotted in the wild were javelinas in Arizona. They were snorting and lounging under a small underpass, hiding out from the afternoon sun

I used to live on the border between Fairmount and Breweytown, very close to the Phila Zoo, so used to go often with Hattie and had membership. Did Boo at the Zoo every Halloween season. But haven’t been in many years now. I feel like they have tapirs...
