That's it .. the trucks should have a random play assortment of bird calls for reverse

There are cowbirds in my neighborhood that imitate the Amazon trucks

I try to imitate the real birds and talk back to them on my walks

I also whistle a 3 note tune when I feed the birds. When I am late the 3 note tune fills the air in the winter.

hmm...I'm trying to think of a way you could set up different feeders for different types of birds and whistle different tunes to set up an interspecies avian symphony

Ha nice Krista. My wife just told me she saw on that Attenborough nature show a mocking bird that imitates chainsaws and jack hammers etc

I'm currently trying to summon crows when I play "Hells Bells" on the boombox

The dream is right before a thunderstorm, the bell ringing out, the sky filling with crows

@tom, have you seen the crow vending machines? Biologists have taught crows to find spare change in cities and put it into the vending machine for corn. They make 100k+ a year

yeah, crows are wicked smart. I have read some stories about them that are pretty unsettling..

Teaching Hells Bells to this great kid i had as gtr student was fun. Lots of Metallica too. About as tall as his gtr. Tiny hands but tons of ambition. Good lil guy

I don't think gulls have the facial recognition that crows and other corvids do, but I haven't read too many papers on them. I agree Tommy about jimmies. I love a jaunty scavenger.

They're so cute! I love the Bonaparte gull, a more polite species with a black mask

But i do like looking at those grizzled "bull gulls " that are like 5x the size. All marked up and mangy

Wife spotted a whale in Belmar NJ last week

Occasionally. We saw one in Asbury few yrs ago. Saw other reports on it too

Small ones but ya whales nonetheless

I think Asbury reported a sighting in past couple weeks too

the nearest Trader Joe's to my new house is like 30 minutes away and I find myself loving life a whole lot less recently

found some salmon that is cut perfect in small 2 in x 8 in slivers . Nice portion for just 2 people wife and I. Easier than making a huge cut and dealing w leftovers

I miss working near Princeton and the TJs with booze and the Wegmans w huge booze section o well.

if I had to choose between wegman's and TJ's.....

im just not equipped to make such a momentous decisioun
