BOT HERE!
Brian D 5:02:42 PM
You are on WATCH
Lizbot (host) 5:03:21 PM
Hi Brian! HA
Brian D 5:03:35 PM
Gothic Archies? Is this Devil Plus Ghoul? Did i miss the summer? Is it Halloween already?
Lizbot (host) 5:04:43 PM
Yeah, I was thinking it'd already be pouring by now, and my dog is mad because she hasn't had her afternoon walk yet and she hates to be drenched while hanging out in the yard, so if you hear an annoyed bark during my mic breaks later, you will know why.
Lizbot (host) 5:05:42 PM
True, I usually bring that one out for Devil Plus Ghoul, BUT, WOULD I suddenly Hall & Oates the Halloween jawn?? Nope! It's Diner Time
Brian D 5:05:47 PM
early Oates !
Lizbot (host) 5:05:58 PM
The best song about gravy
Brian D 5:05:59 PM

"Brilliantine slick, a pot-cleaning dandy"
Mark 5:06:34 PM
ha I’ve been watching the incorrect weather forecast al day too don’t know whether to listen to the show outdoors or stay close to cover
Brian D 5:06:39 PM
Imaginary cola... but the hands are covered in REAL gravy
Lizbot (host) 5:06:49 PM
I think of the MANY abandoned diners of my youth when I hear this song. So many in Jersey. And the one on North Broad Street near Temple's campus - a nice chrome dealie
Lizbot (host) 5:06:52 PM
Hi Mark!
Lizbot (host) 5:07:53 PM
I can never tell if they're saying "filthy floor" or "Philly floor" in that one line, but it should be BOTH
Lizbot (host) 5:07:59 PM
@Mark - It's downright SUNNY suddenly! WTF?
Brian D 5:08:13 PM
Back when these guys were so good. This lp reminds me of my uncle's & aunt's record collection. And driving around in their car though many Phila burbs
Lizbot (host) 5:08:16 PM
@Mark - It was overcast in Philly all day, now I'm so confused
Lizbot (host) 5:08:32 PM
@Brian D- Yeah! I love this album
Mark 5:09:01 PM
great to see ur remaining on Thursday schedule & yeah I’ve been getting phone alerts all day about flash floods colour me confused too :(
Lizbot (host) 5:09:47 PM
now whenever I see Daryl Hall in an interview, he mostly talks about Lyme Disease
Lizbot (host) 5:10:01 PM
@Mark - Yes! Same time, same day!
Lizbot (host) 5:10:49 PM
I am predicting the sky will suddenly darken again around 6 and maybe we'll get some rain. I was thinking it'd be such a bad storm, Id have to worry about outages while on the air!
Lizbot (host) 5:11:52 PM
For those of you familiar with Northwest Philly, sadly The Trolley Car Diner is now an "abandoned luncheonette," all graffiti-ed up
Brian D 5:11:52 PM
Daryl hates deer
Lizbot (host) 5:12:11 PM
Daryl Vs. Deer
DSM 5:13:01 PM
Daryl Hall has a restaurant up near my girlfriend's mom's place in Pawling, NY. It's called Daryl's House Club, but why didn't he f-ing call it Daryl's Hall?!
Lizbot (host) 5:13:54 PM
Philly declared an annual Hall & Oates day about a dozen years ago, and my husband dressed as Daryl and his friend dressed as John Oates to give out Halls cough-drops and Quaker Oats on a street corner near Penn's Landing where Hall & Oates were playing. It was...silly
Lizbot (host) 5:14:11 PM
@DSM - FRUSTRATING!!!
Lizbot (host) 5:14:48 PM
@DSM, That is the kind of thing that would drive me nuts every time I drive past it.
Mark 5:14:51 PM
yeah that’s a shame about the trolley diner i passed by it not too long ago & it looked pretty bad w the graffiti
Brian D 5:15:31 PM
James Brown cover!
Lizbot (host) 5:15:46 PM
okay, now it's getting darker. I am so used to being in a windowless radio studio when broadcasting, it's WEIRD knowing what's going on outside!!
Lizbot (host) 5:16:35 PM
@Brian D - Yes! The Residents , but never even on their James Brown and George Gershwin cover album "George and James"
Brian D 5:16:41 PM
they do it justice
Mark 5:16:56 PM
gonna try to get to the downingtown Blob diner / maybe they have blob fest this year
DSM 5:17:01 PM
Really grinds my gears haha! Anyway we ate there, cuz we had to know, and the cheesesteak was very underwhelming.
DSM 5:17:52 PM
Mark blob fest sounds fantastic, will have to look into that
Mark 5:18:49 PM
hi way theater reopens this week btw/ Casablanca & his girl Friday 1st features
Lizbot (host) 5:19:25 PM
@Mark - I want to get to BlobFest some year, but I feel like it's ALL about the crowd rushing out of the theater and that's too big a crowd for my liking these days! Maybe next year. Maybe people could wear Blob-themed masks!
Lizbot (host) 5:19:44 PM
@Mark - Yes! AND Ambler Theater reopens next week!
Mark 5:20:11 PM
haha not sure i want to b shoulder to shoulder yet either !
Lizbot (host) 5:20:44 PM
@DSM - Good to know...I still would have to try it out just to say I was in Daryl Hall's HALL if I ever pass through there!
Lizbot (host) 5:20:59 PM
OKAY. NOW it is DARK here
Mark 5:21:12 PM
anyone been to navy yard drive in?
Lizbot (host) 5:22:10 PM
@Mark & DSM- My daughter found The Blob theme song to be the funniest thing she's ever heard, funnier than the ridiculous original animated Incredible Hulk theme, which is pretty great and silly "The everloving Hulk"!
Lizbot (host) 5:22:52 PM
@Mark - A couple of friends went but I haven't been yet
Mark 5:25:30 PM
Haha had to take a listen to the theme / the daughter obv has her mom’s sense of ironic humor :)
Mark 5:26:49 PM
yeah kinda curious about their drive in setup commie Francis came into a chat last nite from there- they were showing a John waters
Lizbot (host) 5:27:26 PM
@Mark - I LOVE that they called themselves The Five Blobs! And that they tried to make a follow-up single about the blob
Mark 5:28:13 PM
dierdre been mention ing the drive in in Jim Thorpe that had a lynch fest recently
DSM 5:29:04 PM
That blob theme swings! Would love to hear the follow up
Lizbot (host) 5:30:13 PM
@DSM - Yeah, good stuff!
Alan Pasnyk 5:30:41 PM
Hi Lizbot! Crazy Blob weather headed our way, hope it doesn't fry your robot electronics!!
Mark 5:30:53 PM
If heathen is in the playlist / dj is lizbot/ cant get enough of it :)))
Dylan Lawrence 5:31:11 PM
HEATHEN My favorite Bowie
Lizbot (host) 5:31:25 PM
@Mark - Jim Thorpe seems to be experiencing a renaissance in recent years! My family used to drive out there when I was a teenager, but it was kinda past it's prime then. The train wasn't even running!
Lizbot (host) 5:31:56 PM
Hi Dylan! Yeah, I love this album. I'm still sore I missed his Philly show for the Heathen tour
Lizbot (host) 5:32:08 PM
@Mark -Ha!
Lizbot (host) 5:32:33 PM
Hi Alan! Yeah, I hope not! I suddenly got very dark outside in Philly!
Alan Pasnyk 5:34:01 PM
Meanwhile lovin' this Bawwie (Brithish pronunciation)
Lizbot (host) 5:34:55 PM
@Alan - Ha, yeah, Sunday is one of my all-time fav Bowie songs!
Mark 5:36:14 PM
the lynch festival there sounded great - Deirdre said they showed mullholland dr which is one i really want to see big screen
Lizbot (host) 5:36:20 PM
Now during these French weirdos Etron Fou Leloublan, I gotta try to fix my mic!! This week AND last it KEEPS dying! I was gonna go on mic after Zulema and before Bowie. I'm gonna have to get a replacement if this keeps happening, but honestly I think it's the mixer itself
Lizbot (host) 5:36:46 PM
@Mark - Ah, I did see that on the big screen at the Ritz
Alan Pasnyk 5:37:34 PM
@ Lizbot: Before I forget, are you ready for the "Once in a lifetime Sunrise Solar Eclipse" next week on Thursday??
Lizbot (host) 5:38:05 PM
I wanna see Bang On a Can's LOUD weekend at MassMOCA this July, but alas, I have to pick up my kid from camp then, and just after that I go on a roadtrip to Colchester, Vermont along Lake Champlain, THEN go to Northampton Mass, and MAYBE Hudson, NY on the way home
Lizbot (host) 5:38:21 PM
@Alan -OOH! THANK YOU for reminding me!
Mark 5:38:31 PM
ha & you better call tech support we need the informative lizbot mic 🎤 breaks !
Lizbot (host) 5:38:37 PM
@ALan - when exactly is it again?
Alan Pasnyk 5:40:51 PM
@ Lizbot: Thursday, June 10 at sunrise, 80% of sun blocked by moon, lasting until approx 1 hr. later
Mark 5:41:06 PM
lake Champlain ferry is great / used to ride it when I’d visit saratoga to get to vermont
Lizbot (host) 5:42:16 PM
@Alan- My daughter's last day of school is the 10th! Gotta check it out with her! Makes the day even more special
Lizbot (host) 5:42:49 PM

Alan Pasnyk 5:45:36 PM
@ Mark Absolutely!
Alan Pasnyk 5:46:43 PM
@ Mark, or you can make a projector with two whitepaper plates, punch holes in one and project onto the other.
Mark 5:47:52 PM
thanks I gotta find some / I’ll def be looking at it at my nearby farm that has an unobstructed eastern view
Alan Pasnyk 5:48:45 PM
@ Lizbot": The financial "Blob" got the Diner!
Alan Pasnyk 5:49:53 PM
@ Mark, even if it's cloudy, it'll be pretty darn dark during the sunrise...
Lizbot (host) 5:49:57 PM
@Alan - Ha! Or maybe the actual Blob. But it closed shortly before the pandemic, so I guess the owner dodged a bullet
Alan Pasnyk 5:51:08 PM
@ Lizbot: HUGE Dark Blob Cloud over the Fairmount section of Philly...
Lizbot (host) 5:51:15 PM
to the shadowland
Lizbot (host) 5:51:28 PM
...that line can sound like something else!
Lizbot (host) 5:51:46 PM
I feel like I'm in the Shadowland now, it's getting very dark here
Mark 5:52:21 PM
wow it looks like quite the solar/lunar event / need a good PRB playlist to listen to during it !!
Lizbot (host) 5:53:05 PM
@Mark - Yeah, I haven't been to Lake Champlain in a long time but I remember being on a boat there, probably that ferry. I def wanna do that again!
Lizbot (host) 5:53:56 PM
Thanks for the eclipse intel, Alan!
Alan Pasnyk 5:54:44 PM
@ Lizbot, You're most welcome...
Lizbot (host) 5:55:00 PM
@Alan, we usually get up at 6:30 AM in this household, but we'll have to set our alarms for earlier. My kid is a Morning Person, (I don't know how that happened!) so she might already be up then
Rob from Maryland & Brood X Cicadaland 5:55:44 PM
Hello all. What day is the eclipse?
Alan Pasnyk 5:56:29 PM
@ Lizbot: I'll be in Doylestown then, where I can listen to WPRB on any old radio...
Lizbot (host) 5:56:36 PM
@Alan & Mark - I was in Portland OR for the solar eclipse a few summers back and those eclipse-viewer cardboard glasses were ALL over the ground the second the eclipse was over!
Lizbot (host) 5:56:39 PM
Hi Rob!
Lizbot (host) 5:57:07 PM
@Alan - Nice! And that's why all my Bucks County and NE Philly friends grew up on WPRB!

Rob from Maryland & Brood X Cicadaland 5:58:12 PM
@Alan & @Lizbot, thanks! I won't be getting up early or even looking for it down here in DC. I think y'all have it better for the eclipse
Rob from Maryland & Brood X Cicadaland 5:58:48 PM

Lizbot (host) 5:59:53 PM
@ROb - I'll trade you an eclipse view from some cicadas...Nah, actually, I want to see this eclipse! I can drive to Princeton for cicadas!
DSM 6:00:05 PM
WPRB on the radio hits different. Probably cuz it never gets turned off!
DSM 6:00:56 PM
eclipse viewing with cicadas might be the ultimate
Alan Pasnyk 6:01:08 PM
@ Rob: Sky and Telescope mag. says about 70% or so for DC sunrise 5:45 till 6:30
Lizbot (host) 6:01:19 PM

DSM 6:02:09 PM
Liz, same! It's the perfect kitchen soundtrack!
Rob from Maryland & Brood X Cicadaland 6:04:15 PM

Rob from Maryland & Brood X Cicadaland 6:05:14 PM

Lizbot (host) 6:05:32 PM
@Mark - Glad to have alerted you to Asheville, home of Greg Lyon!
DSM 6:05:42 PM

that choir matches perfectly with the impending doom-sky
Lizbot (host) 6:10:46 PM
@Alan - yeah, the story goes he hit this girl on a bike, Melody Nelson, with his car, and an amazing album was born! The girl was okay...
Lizbot (host) 6:10:56 PM
Hi Readie Merl!
Rob from Maryland & Brood X Cicadaland 6:11:00 PM
I second Dave's observation about sunny days and cicadas
Lizbot (host) 6:11:12 PM
@Readie - yeah, it's seriously getting spooky here!
Alan Pasnyk 6:11:54 PM
As always, music for the occasion...
Lizbot (host) 6:11:58 PM
Hi Dave! Good to know! I might be going this weekend. Depends on how my kid reacts to her 2nd Pfizer shot which is tomorrow
RR 6:12:02 PM

Rob from Maryland & Brood X Cicadaland 6:12:45 PM

Alan Pasnyk 6:13:13 PM

Rob from Maryland & Brood X Cicadaland 6:16:39 PM
Speaking of Boz Scaggs, is Dana K following your show tonight Lizbot?

RR 6:20:33 PM

Lizbot (host) 6:21:57 PM
@jimbeaux - yes! Early 2000s!
RR 6:22:26 PM
Sometimes I think I'll quit my job and hang in everyone's chat rooms! I miss so much when I'm working. Mickey's show is great!
Lizbot (host) 6:22:40 PM
@Mark - I didn't get to hear Mickey's show today - It bums me out because I love The Sprawl, but I am always prepping my show when he is on
Mark 6:22:49 PM
@RR congrats I heard the dmv rant last week :)
RR 6:22:53 PM
@Lizbot- I'm a good witch.

Lizbot (host) 6:24:08 PM
@RR - another friend recently said their local DMV line was waaaaay out the door in the hot sun and hours long!
Lizbot (host) 6:25:24 PM
@Mark- Re: The Sprawl - Agreed - It IS a sprawl between eso & me. (and BTW, my comp autocorrected "eso" to "esophaguses"
RR 6:25:54 PM
Oh wow, @Lizbot- that's rotten! There was a short line where I go. But I had just gotten the car serviced and somehow they knew it, and made me go away and get the broomstick of the wicked witch.
Lizbot (host) 6:27:33 PM
@RR - haha!
Alan Pasnyk 6:30:51 PM
Thunder echoes in the Fairmount section of Philly
RR 6:30:52 PM
OOoo can't wait for that new film!
Lizbot (host) 6:35:10 PM
@RR - I KNOW! I really wanna see it but where and when?! I hope it's streaming soon at least. SO many films this past year got delayed or their releases just kinda lost in the shuffle
Lizbot (host) 6:35:26 PM
Yet more thunder happening here now!
DSM 6:36:30 PM
Sky Blob and lighting just overtook Newtown PA

Thunderstorm and rain around Princeton as well.
Lizbot (host) 6:39:24 PM
@Alan - oh yeah. never really thought of that, but I can see that!
Lizbot (host) 6:39:41 PM
@DSM - SKY BLOB is COMING FOR US ALL
Lizbot (host) 6:40:05 PM

RR 6:44:20 PM
OOO thunder here!
Lizbot (host) 6:44:23 PM
@RR - This song is for driving on your broom!
RR 6:45:02 PM
@LB- YESS! perfect soundtrack!
Lizbot (host) 6:45:03 PM
@RR - that last drum hit at the end of Etron Fou song was you touching ground!
RR 6:45:37 PM
And gingerly creeping toward the cyclone shelter...
Lizbot (host) 6:45:48 PM
@RR - Yeah, I want it to stream. I love supporting my local theaters and I would be very sad if they closed, BUT I am not quite ready yet to go there in person...
RR 6:46:52 PM
I agree, @LB- I used to live in Ambler near the theatre there- those were the days...
Lizbot (host) 6:48:07 PM
I always associate this Chameleons album with darkness and rain
Lizbot (host) 6:48:22 PM
and here's to more rain songs, one from Tom Waits...
Lizbot (host) 6:49:04 PM
(not a rain theme today, just a mood)
RR 6:50:03 PM
Perfect ! ...as the low-rumbling thunder creeps across the sky
Alan Pasnyk 6:50:39 PM
Music for the incoming storm, I remember when I used to sit outside with my Dad watching the lightning storm come in from the west, in his place near Doylestown...
Alan Pasnyk 6:51:07 PM
It was a game of "chicken" with Mother Nature...
Lizbot (host) 6:51:15 PM
RR, I can't even tell if it's raining here - I'm looking out the window, it is dark AF and I have headphones on, so I don't hear rain but I can hear the thunder and see the lightning. I think the rain hasn't quite hit me yet
Lizbot (host) 6:52:22 PM
@Alan - Yea! That is a thrill. And then we like to run onto the porch just in time and feel the pressure change and the wind and smell the iron rain smells from the safety of the dry porch!
Lizbot (host) 6:52:51 PM
How's this for OMINOUS?
Lizbot (host) 6:53:17 PM

Christine ✔Broodin' Gen X 6:56:14 PM
The clouds, the thunder, and this WPRB soundtrack = perfect.
Lizbot (host) 6:56:17 PM
@Alan - Nice! I need to see that again
Lizbot (host) 6:56:48 PM
Christine! Hi! How are you on this dark and stormy night?
Mark 6:56:56 PM

Christine ✔Broodin' Gen X 6:57:40 PM
Hi Liz Bot, hi ++gooders! 🤖
Alan Pasnyk 6:57:47 PM
Hi Christine! And yes I did see the ISS last night from downtown Philly...
Christine ✔Broodin' Gen X 6:58:31 PM
@Alan, that's fantastic. I missed it. But I have high hopes for the eclipse on 6/10. 🌘

Rob from Maryland & Brood X Cicadaland 7:01:20 PM
I didn't hear any thunder while Lizbot was talking
fr1dayafternoon 7:01:29 PM
Heard that thunder here in S Philly
DSM 7:01:51 PM
I can't hear the radio over the rain at the moment!
Mark 7:02:13 PM
who do the the birds react to the thunder ?
DSM 7:02:19 PM
His Lost Themes albums have been enjoyable as well
Christine ✔Broodin' Gen X 7:02:26 PM
I didn't hear any thunder in the background, either. But it's thundering here, so I should bump up the volume on my radio.
Mark 7:02:40 PM
*how
Alan Pasnyk 7:03:05 PM
@ Christine, Hope you have solar glasses..
Lizbot (host) 7:03:51 PM
the sky is heavy with rain and it's just teasing me at this point. Will this start pouring the moment I get off air at the end of the show?
Christine ✔Broodin' Gen X 7:05:35 PM
@Alan, I do!! I saved them from the big eclipse in 2017. 😎 Remember when a former White House resident stared directly at the sun?
Lizbot (host) 7:05:37 PM
This is weather and music for taking cover on the sofa under a burgundy cat
Lizbot (host) 7:06:17 PM
@DSM - Yeah! I reviewed JC's Lost Themes album for the station and really enjoyed it. Played a few of those tracks a bunch on ++good around when it came out
Christine ✔Broodin' Gen X 7:06:22 PM
Big electric burgundy cat?
Lizbot (host) 7:07:08 PM
@Christine! HA! Perfect! An intersection of two of my favorite artists! Or a belew cat!
Lizbot (host) 7:08:21 PM
@Christine - I have that image of that man who shall remain nameless staring into the eclipse burned into my memory
Lizbot (host) 7:09:33 PM
@Alan, Mark, Christine, et.al.: I think the thunder was too dull and just not loud enough to be picked up by my mic indoors...now if I was broadcasting from the front porch....
Lizbot (host) 7:10:45 PM
Of course, I heard my daughter talking and clinking things in the kitchen when I was on mic for a second just to say the station ID before this song, though I don't know if you all heard that! It was a second of dinnertime in the Bot Household
Rob from Maryland & Brood X Cicadaland 7:11:06 PM
@Lizbot, maybe you should broadcast from your front porch?
Christine ✔Broodin' Gen X 7:11:12 PM
The kettle drums pair perfectly with the thunder outside
Rob from Maryland & Brood X Cicadaland 7:11:48 PM
This Residents song has brought great joy to my wife. It's one of her faves by them
Alan Pasnyk 7:12:21 PM
@ Lizbot: So far I've never heard extraneous sounds on your show that I can remember....
jimbeaux 7:12:41 PM
Love that Residents track so much!
Lizbot (host) 7:12:47 PM
@Christine - Ah you're right! See....I planned it that way....
Lizbot (host) 7:13:08 PM
Some spooky Meredith Monk vocalizations for a dark and stormy night
Lizbot (host) 7:14:06 PM
@jimbeaux - That New Hymn Recessional was the FIRST Residents song of hundreds I ever played on this Doubleplusgood! It's the song that drew me into the Residents' world
Lizbot (host) 7:15:05 PM
@Christine - I feel like Lamb is your steez. Cue STORM
Alan Pasnyk 7:15:12 PM
@ Lizbot: You're really nailin' it for the mood of tonight's storm!!!

Lizbot (host) 7:19:22 PM

Mark 7:20:07 PM
I had musical box tix last march at keswick just before everything closed down :(
Lizbot (host) 7:20:21 PM

Lizbot (host) 7:20:34 PM
@Mark -Oh, boo!
Lizbot (host) 7:21:16 PM
@Readie - Yeah, the Keswick is a great old theater and has so many bands I like. Renaissance performs there with relative frequency too
Mark 7:21:30 PM

Wow, I'm learning of the Musical Box, and must keep an eye out as live music comes slowly back....
Lizbot (host) 7:23:42 PM

RR 7:32:52 PM
@Lizbot- Indeed! Looking forward to it!
Lizbot (host) 7:32:54 PM

Thw Australian Pink Floyd is a great cover band.
julian (crucialobject) 7:40:37 PM
I feel you on cover bands.
julian (crucialobject) 7:41:26 PM
I had a strange experience of seeing a very heartfelt Guided By Voices cover band once in Orlando, and they played a better set than the ACTUAL BAND when I saw them two years ago 🤣
Mark 7:42:52 PM
tho my big recommendation is when Steve Hackett plays keswick he is a MUST see - just amazing- think he’s scheduled for scottish rites in nj
Christine ✔Broodin' Gen X 7:43:56 PM
@Alan, take care! 🛰
Lizbot (host) 7:44:37 PM
Goodnight, Alan! Thanks for hanging out!
Lizbot (host) 7:45:10 PM
Hi Julian! Yeah. It's a hard sell for me normally
Christine ✔Broodin' Gen X 7:46:04 PM
@julian, that must have been unsettling, seeing as the one main expectation is original band > cover band.
Lizbot (host) 7:46:23 PM
@Julian - ha, yeah sometimes also I like recorded covers better than the original. that happens more than me liking a cover band more than the original, but the latter does happen sometimes too!
julian (crucialobject) 7:47:04 PM
I think part of it was that I had no expectations for the first show (it was a small festival in honor of a sound guy that has gotten randomly shot :(. ). they opened up for this band Octogrape who opened up for Sebadoh.
Rob from Maryland & Brood X Cicadaland 7:47:16 PM
This was a great show, Lizbot. The cicada I brought inside agrees
julian (crucialobject) 7:47:43 PM
@ Christine, totally! I left the GBV show so sad because Robert Pollard was just very drunk and there was a desperate energy
Lizbot (host) 7:47:46 PM
@mark - yeah, I gotta get to a Steve Hackett show one of these days! My parents live just a town over from collingswood/scottish rite, so I can combine a show with a parent visit
Lizbot (host) 7:48:03 PM
@Julian - Oof. that's sad
Lizbot (host) 7:48:26 PM
@Rob - Thank you! haha, tell that cicada to buzz along to the music
Lizbot (host) 7:48:52 PM
@Julian - expectations affect so much show-wise. and everything-wise!
julian (crucialobject) 7:48:55 PM
@ Lizbot absolutely. and yes :/. I think something needs to be different enough from what it's inspired by to break free or comparison
Rob from Maryland & Brood X Cicadaland 7:48:55 PM
@Lizbot, cicada says "ok!"
julian (crucialobject) 7:49:17 PM

And that Neko is an "ahhh" moment great tune
Christine ✔Broodin' Gen X 7:51:04 PM
@Rob, when they take up residence in your hair, that's when things have gone too far
Brian D 7:51:08 PM
Really enjoying this puke green/blue/grey sky set. Not a complaint that color combo. Love the storm weather.
Rob from Maryland & Brood X Cicadaland 7:51:17 PM
I backed the front with my cicada pal. I picked it up on the front deck, and released it on the back deck
Rob from Maryland & Brood X Cicadaland 7:51:55 PM
@Christine, yes, I agree. I have have a few land on my head/hair during the various emergences.

RR 7:52:30 PM

Lizbot (host) 7:52:43 PM
@Brian D - yes! I hope she comes back and the double-decker bus music series comes back and she sings on the bus roof again, while it drives around old city at night
DSM 7:53:00 PM
@Rob are you domesticating cicadas now?
Brian D 7:53:05 PM
we finally had the cicada experience up at Nockamixon Lake Park over the weekend here in Bucks. As we drove within a couple miles of the jernt they were so loud even over the car engine. At the park they were just having a dancing fest up in the trees and cackling away. Could barely hear ourselves on some trails.
Lizbot (host) 7:53:28 PM
@Rob - Can I order my trained cicada from you now, or do you need more time to teach it tricks?
Rob from Maryland & Brood X Cicadaland 7:53:31 PM
@DSM, no, but maybe I should
Rob from Maryland & Brood X Cicadaland 7:53:43 PM
@Brian D, how wonderful

Rob from Maryland & Brood X Cicadaland 7:54:31 PM
@Lizbot, cicadatraining dot com could be up and running over the weekend
Brian D 7:54:54 PM
Yes! We were just in the thick of it. Plus a really nice sunny day in the park w/many other species including humans & their brood & dogs. Everybody enjoying the sun & lake.
