i was familiar with the creatures, but didn't know they had such an early release. of course it was 1981.

YESSSSS 1981...Apparently, Siouxsie and Budgie were noodling around during the Juju recording sessions, and created some songs with just vox and drums, and decided to release them separately, and so the Creatures were born

Yup, Creatures=Siouxsie + Budgie, the Banshees' drummer. They were also romantically entwined. Might still be!

I was navigating to the station in my car by sound because the radio dash light was out for a little bit. Got to the creaky sound right as we turned down a dark alley. Very cinematic. I knew it was WPRB.

Dark alleys are the perfect setting for listening to WPRB. At least, this show.
