Yes. Their lead guitarist is really excellent. They do blues rock really well.

They've backed a few blues singer over the years as well as have their own great records

Yeah, a good bit edgier than the John Mayalls of the world. I'll give 'em a shot.

Tony McPhee rips it up on gtr yeah. I need to get more into Groundhogs as well. Only have heard a few tracks.

Yes I really love their Split album. The CD has some sweet live tracks too.

My big 3 requests would be " Why Can't I Touch It" by the Buzzcocks (somehow I bet that is already on your list). And Touch Too Much by ACDC (looks like safe for FM innuendo in the lyrics, I have heard it before on radio I think...). And Meat Puppets "Touchdown King". The Cars have a couple great ones, one obvious and one a little more rare. The Dead and the Doors have their obvious ones... Oh and a local favorite tune of mine Ween's "Touch My Tooter" that they always play in Phila area shows!

I remember hearing the whole song on the radio back in the day, maybe even on WPRB! Back in the 80's, stations like this one and WRSU didn't censor their records for some reason.
