Good morning Marvin & Friends! SO HAPPY to be treated to 2 additional hours of your show this morning, Marvin, as I am tuning in a little later than usual (bad night with the cone dog). I loved the Jacquet de Mantua and the stunning performance by Delitiae Musicae! Also digging this Marc Mellits whose music reminds me (mostly in its instrumentation) of fellow Detroit native Patrick Grant's compositions but even more, of the music of fellow Midwesterner Sufjian Stevens in its textures.

Thanks!! I have actually aired a couple of piece by Patrick Grant!! I will have to check out Sufjian Stevens!! Thanks for checking n as always!! I saw the post about your dog!! Hope he will be getting better!!

Actually, it was through your show that I rediscovered Grant's new(er) compositions. I had been familiar with his work from the late 80s/early 90s which pays homage to Bach and counterpoint. I've been thrilled to hear the present very different direction his music is taking! Again -- it is all thanks to you! ❤💖💗
